Taxes, IRMAA, RMDs, and Social Security re-run year by year.
Watch a quick walkthrough of the app: entering the basics, checking whether the plan works, and exploring the choices that can change the answer.
Download RPYou should be able to test retirement decisions without connecting every account, paying a yearly fee, or waiting for someone else to run the numbers.
RP lets you build the plan yourself: download it, enter what matters, save it locally, and compare choices on your own schedule.
It is built for people making real household decisions: retiring sooner, claiming Social Security, converting to Roth, changing spending, preparing for a survivor, or seeing whether taxes and Medicare premiums change the answer.
The goal is not to bury you in every possible knob. It is to show the few decisions that move the plan, with enough detail available when you want to look under the hood.
Competitors often lead with feature names. RP is organized around the decisions a household actually has to make.
Try different retirement dates, income gaps, market crashes, inflation decades, and longer lifespans in the same plan.
Compare fixed budgets, flexible spending guardrails, and a living-standard estimate that helps turn savings into a spending plan.
Run household claim-age comparisons that price the savings spent while waiting for a larger benefit.
Compare conversion years, annual limits, tax-bracket targets, Medicare surcharge effects, and survivor impact.
Include federal, state, local, capital gains, Social Security taxation, RMDs, ACA credits, and Medicare Part B/D surcharges.
Test first-death scenarios, survivor filing status, income floor changes, insurance needs, and estate outcomes.
A working list, not a wish list — every item below is real and shipping today.
The Engine Viewer shows the real intermediate values behind every number — RMD divisors, tax-bracket math, IRMAA tier assignment. Not a black box.
Compares claim-age choices for a household, including spouse and survivor effects, so you can see which timing looks strongest.
Preview tax-bracket and Medicare surcharge impact before you commit to a Roth conversion plan.
See how the plan holds up when investment returns arrive in a rougher order than expected.
Federal, state, and county/city income tax, capital gains, and Medicare IRMAA surcharge projection with the real two-year lookback.
Trusts, lifetime gifting, heir bequest splits, and inherited-account rules (10-year rule, EDB stretch) — plus an At-Death Checklist built from your own plan.
Replay the plan through real market histories to see how earlier retirements would have handled rough periods.
Guided lessons walk you through the app screen by screen so you can learn by working with your own plan.
No accounts, no cloud sync, no telemetry. Your plan never leaves your machine unless you export it yourself.
A retirement plan is easier to trust when it shows what was included, what was checked, and what was left out. I have not found another consumer retirement planner that publicly exposes its calculation-maintenance process and optimizer checks as directly as RP does — other tools may do similar work internally, but their public materials do not show it.
Every release includes a public report comparing tax, Medicare, Social Security, RMD, and estate calculations against source documents and test output.
Tax, Medicare, and Social Security data includes source notes and freshness checks so you can see where the numbers came from.
The app documents approximations and omissions up front, including which direction a simplification tends to bias the result.
Every release publishes a machine-readable list of every third-party component it was built from, alongside signed installers.
RP is short for Right Plan Discoverer.
A private retirement planning system with deep tax, Medicare, Social Security, Roth, withdrawal, survivor, estate, and market-risk tools. The personal edition is built for households that want control of their own plan. The Agency edition adds the book-of-business workflow a practice needs to manage client plans, reviews, snapshots, retention opportunities, and Pro-Active daily monitoring.
Agency adds the practice layer that moves RP into the advisor lane alongside other agency products: a client catalog over local/shared plan folders, private advisor notes and review dates, branded client reports, automatic presentation snapshots, a Practice Worklist that becomes the queue, daily account sweeps, monitoring tolerances, outreach templates, FlowThru retention opportunities, example clients for training, and a Course Editor so a firm can teach its own process inside the product and share supplemental courses with others.
Point RP at a client folder and work from the client first: plans, private notes, review dates, snapshots, and documents stay organized without turning RP into a cloud CRM.
Agency snapshots preserve what the client was shown, including the plan file, reports, and reference-data vintage. That creates a defensible meeting record.
The worklist turns monitoring findings into advisor work: acknowledge, schedule, mark done, snooze, and add private notes without changing the client plan.
RP’s scheduled sweeps already check client impact across the book of business: plan drift, stale assumptions, review cadence, estate/FlowThru successor-plan changes, and client-level tolerances.
Other agency products are commonly described as a monthly monitoring loop. RP can run daily, or use the frequency the agency wants, with client-level settings where a household needs different attention.
FlowThru can turn estate planning into a next-generation relationship: each heir can receive a linked successor plan, giving the agency a natural reason to keep the family engaged.
Agencies can use Course Editor and Course Series to build their own guided training, mix it with RP’s built-in courses, and teach the firm’s planning process in the same app clients and advisors use.
Supplemental courses and series can be distributed after install, so an agency, trainer, or product team can publish new walkthroughs without waiting for a full app release.
RP's scheduled sweeps and Agency work queue are delivered today. Account aggregation is in rollout as a connected input feeding those sweeps, and Wealthbox/Redtail CRM sync is in rollout as the connected output side, both delivered through Pro-Active Connect so the local-first promise stays intact.
RP can turn an estate plan into linked successor plans for heirs, so the conversation does not stop at “what is left?” It can continue into what that inheritance means for each person receiving it. For an agency, that also creates a real retention bridge from one generation to the next.
RP combines consumption smoothing with guardrails: one side solves a sustainable living standard, the other tests how spending can adapt. Together they produce an Affordable Spending view instead of a single brittle number.
I have not found another product that publicly shows as many distinct plan-evaluation lenses in one product as RP appears to have. Every lens below is in the product today, and each one looks at the same household plan a different way.
That is an observation about what other products publish, not a claim about what they do internally — compare the list against any tool you are considering.
Market history, Monte Carlo, longevity, early retirement, income shock, high inflation, Social Security cuts, survivor IRMAA, relocation, and affordability checks.
Roth, withdrawal order, claim age, contributions, retirement timing, pension vs. lump sum, debt vs. invest, insurance surrender, and asset sales.
RP does not only test one knob at a time: it can cross Social Security with Roth conversions, and Roth conversions with withdrawal order.
Survivor protection, lifetime income floor, long-term care exposure, estate flow, and at-death actions are connected to the actual plan.
Courses are not separate videos. They open RP, highlight the live control, wait for the user, and can be extended by agencies with their own custom or supplemental courses and series.

Private, installable, guided, calculation-transparent retirement planning for households and practices.
You keep the plan file, you can see how the numbers are maintained, and the Agency layer adds scheduled sweeps, a practice worklist, client snapshots, and your own training — without linking accounts to use it.
RP entries were checked against the product itself. Competitor entries reflect each vendor’s public materials and may change — treat this as a positioning guide, not a statement about another product’s current features or pricing. A dash (—) means we have not confirmed that capability first-hand and make no claim either way. RP’s scheduled sweeps and Agency work queue are delivered today. Account aggregation and Wealthbox/Redtail CRM sync are being added as connected inputs and outputs to that existing workflow.

You no longer have to send us anything to evaluate it — the Agency download above is the full product. But if you tell us about your practice we can keep you up to date: what is coming, what has changed, and how to license it when the evaluation period ends. It takes a minute, and what you send is never shared or sold.
